About Me

My photo
Hello everyone! My name is Lo, Chuan-Hsin. You can call me my English name, Coco, too. I major in Management Information System now. Also, I’d like to attend various courses in NCCU, such as courses about law or accounting. I think that learning different things in college can be a good way to broaden my horizons. However, as a college student, undoubtedly I love to go out with friends, having fun trying new things. (In fact, I used to live in Taipei many years ago. Then my family moved to Hualien when I was at the age of 10.) As a result, I wish that I can travel around to get to know more about Taipei in the near future. In this blog, I decide to share with all of you my explorations here and my reflections on them, including useful information I receive in courses as well as my interesting experiences. Above all, hope you enjoy my blog! Thank you.

Crazy night

This Tuesday, I went to Rau-He(饒河)Night Market with my team in Chinese class for our up-coming presentation.  Every member in our group came from different counties, including Kaohsiung, Hualien, Tao-Yuan and so on.  So we decided to write on this food topic in order to try novel foods in Taipei and of course, have fun doing our homework.  However, we didn’t expect to enjoy it on a heavy rainy day!  Owing to the sudden rain, I believe lots of venders were absent that night.  Also, it was really strange to see very few people walking in a famous night market.

Do you think we were upset or disappointed?  Absolutely not!  One of our teammates even claimed that we were lucky to some degree, because we needed not stand in a queue and wait for what we wanted to eat.  With this thought in mind, we savored Fried Chicken Roll(雞腿捲),  Crispy Fried Pork Noodles(排骨酥麵), Saved Ice with sugar(黑砂糖剉冰), Matcha Glutinous Cake(抹茶粉粿), Roasted Corn(碳烤玉米), Indian Milk Tea(印度拉茶)…Wow!

Not only the tasty food but also the feeling of share made me really joyful.  Thanks to all of my teammates~for a little crazy and wonderful night!

  1. I haven’t been to 饒河 night market because I think it is really far from our campus, and I’m too lazy to take a bus for a long time only to go to the night market. But your record of 饒河 night market makes me really thirsty of rushing to it right away and makes my mouth watering, especially the picture of 黑砂糖剉冰. Next time I go to 饒河 night market, I will have a try of everything delicious! But before that, I should be prepared to wait in long lines.

  2. Dear Coco:
Haha, we went to 饒河 night market together! The heavy rain really destroy my good mood because I was already to have fun that night. Well, after eating the shaved ice, I became happier because it was really delicious! Well, I was so tired after coming back to the dorm, but I still had to finish the stinky tofu and other food with my classmates. I thought the stinky tofu was too spicy, and I couldn't eat it without a bottle of water!!

  3. Hello,
It is so cool. You went to Raohe Street Night Market with your team in Chinese class for our up-coming presentation. I have been Raohe Street Night Market before. There are very delicious food. In addition to the food you tasted, the pepper cake is also delicious. The inside fillings are not minced meat but chunks of red meat. This stuffing is mixed with pepper, star anise and scallions spice stimulus. After you eat it, you will have a sense of fulfillment. Therefore, I sincerely suggest that you can try it in the next time.
